A hole is a space that contains. A hole is not, however, a place, a locality. A hole is the idea of absence. It can be filled, it can be emptied. It is a receptacle. Once it is full, it flows over, pouring out onto the surface. Once it is empty, it lies dormant, waiting to be activated. A hole is transformable and, in fact, its very existence requires transformation.
Hole, an introduction is a book based on a performance. it explores the deepest depths of the hole, with some analysis of myths, some poetry, some scans, and a glossary.
